What does Multiplier’s Global Payroll offer?

At Multiplier, we’re empowering businesses with a new kind of Global Payroll - one that is seamless, the good kind of predictable, and easy.

  1. Get more control and visibility: Global Payroll gives you an end-to-end view of your payroll operations. With simplified processes and insights, you can gain a holistic, easy-to-understand, view of every employee in every country.

  2. One platform: Consolidate and streamline your payroll operations across multiple countries in one fully compliant platform. This also gives you actionable insights where you identify cost-saving opportunities and align payroll with business goals.

  3. Unparalleled accuracy: We ensure calculations, tax withholdings, and compliance are always right. By minimizing manual processes, we significantly reduce the risk of errors, and compliance risks while maximizing trust among employees.

Using the Multiplier platform, you can quickly review payroll, add new employees, manage their benefits, and view payroll reports.

What services are included under Global Payroll?

  1. Gross to net calculation (G2N): Calculation of payroll at every cycle in accordance with the payroll and country norms including gross-ups.

  2. Payslip generation: After review and confirmation on the payroll report we provide, payslips are published for your employees each cycle. These payslips can be viewed directly through the Multiplier platform, or in your HRIS platform if you use BambooHR, Workday, or Hibob. This can also be finetuned to match your company payslip structure and stay in accordance with specific country norms.

  3. Registration and de-registration of employees: We take care of onboarding and offboarding. We’ll handle benefits like your company’s social security policy, or other statutory benefits required by law in your country.

  4. Funds Disbursement: Where available, you can choose Multiplier to pay employees directly on your behalf. We can also handle the statutory payments required (payments to the relevant tax authorities, pension providers, and government agencies). Alternatively, You can pay employees yourself, and we will provide detailed information in a CSV file.

  5. Customized Reports: Apart from standard reports such as bank files, headcount reports, YTD, etc., you can customize reports as per your requirements.

  6. Detailed Reporting: We’ll generate a detailed General Ledger report so you can get a full view of the expenses clearly based on the cost center. Comparing reports across countries becomes easy, allowing you to make strategic decisions for your business.

  7. Consolidated payroll view: We will allow you to see a consolidated view of all your G2N totals across all Countries, Entities, and Payroll cycles.

How much does Global Payroll cost?

Multiplier offers dynamic and progressive pricing based on the headcount of employees you need payroll for. The more the employee headcount, the better the pricing.

The total cost is influenced by factors such as the number of countries you need payroll in, frequency of payroll cycles, nature of service required, and other events such as onboarding and offboarding of employees.

How can I define my payroll calendar?

The payroll calendar is defined while you are onboarding with Multiplier.

In the case of Multiplier making salary payments for your employees, we follow a calendar for payroll that is fixed for a monthly, semi-monthly, or bi-weekly payroll. You can find details of the payroll calendar here.

However, if you require only Gross to Net calculations as a service, the payroll calendar can be aligned that is mutually agreed upon between Multiplier and you.

How can I view all employees across all entities?

All employees are tied to their respective legal entities and you can view this in different tabs, allowing for a clear and crisp view. This is all hosted within the Multiplier platform.

How long does implementation take for global payroll?

The implementation process can take from 1 to 3 months, depending on the number of employees and country complexity. The steps in the implementation broadly include:

  • Meeting to review requirements and map out your desired "go live" date

  • Data collection and migration

  • Employee onboarding

  • Shadow payroll

  • Payroll configuration

Our implementation process also follows a wave plan methodology, so that in case you have payroll for multiple countries, it is phased out to optimize time.

How does Multiplier ensure compliance with tax and labor laws in different countries?

We have country-specific compliance experts with local language support. In addition, we also keep the Multiplier platform proactively updated with the latest changes in any country's specific laws so that you don't have to worry about it.

What is the process of the Simulation payroll run?

It is always suggested to have at least one simulation payroll run to ensure all the inputs and outputs are validated with that of your existing customers’ payroll processes. Our Payroll team will closely work with the customer payroll admin to run the simulation payroll.

This can also be decided as part of the implementation cycle.

Can I view and approve timesheets and time offs which will reflect in their monthly payroll?

Yes, timesheets and time off can be approved from within the platform. This will also be taken into the payroll calculations for that month and reflected accordingly.

How can I add entities to Multiplier?

If you’d like to add entities on the Multiplier platform please reach out to your dedicated CSM or on help@usemultiplier.com.
