Decrease the compensation of an EOR employee

Learn how to decrease the compensation of an EOR employee on Multiplier:

  1. Log in to Multiplier using your credentials.

  2. From the left sidebar, select Administration > Compensation revision.

  1. In the Compensation & Designation Revision screen, select Add.

  1. Use the drop-down under Team Member to select the team member for whom you wish to increase the compensation or change the designation.

  1. Select next to Compensation

  1. Enter the decreased compensation under Amount.

  1. If required, update the additional compensations. Ensure that you have entered the start and end dates correctly.

  1. To complete the compensation update, go to the Review compensation update details section to view the revised information. Please note that a compensation reduction alert will appear, and you must enter the Reason for reduction of compensation as required by compliance laws. Note: A compensation reduction alert is displayed whenever the new final compensation amount is less than the current amount, even if only additional compensation is reduced or removed.

  1. Select Upload file and attach supporting documents.

  1. Add the Effective date.

  1. Select Submit Request.

The request is submitted.

What happens after you submit a request to reduce compensation?

  • Legal Review: Once you click Send Request, Multiplier’s legal team reviews the provided reason and supporting documents. Meanwhile, the status shows Pending Legal Review.

  • Approval: After the legal team approves the request, the status changes to Ready for Signature.

  • Signature: A non-skippable signature process is then initiated—first to the company signatory and then to the employee—to finalize the revision.

Once this is done, the changes will be reflected in the next payroll cycle.
