# Offboard a contractor

Learn how to offboard a contractor using the Multiplier platform:<br>

1. Log in to Multiplier using your credentials.
2. From the left sidebar, select **Team**.
3. In the Team overview screen, select the **Active** tab. &#x20;
4. Select the contractor you want to offboard.

5. When the details for the contractor appear, scroll down to the Additional actions section, and select **Start offboarding**.&#x20;

6. You get two options:

<summary>Resignation - When the contractor resigns, and you wish to offboard the person. </summary>

1. Select Resignation and then select **Continue**. &#x20;

2. In the Offboard Contractor - Resignation dialog box, select the desired last working day. You can optionally add any supporting documents.

3. Ensure that the last working day is discussed with the contractor. Select the checkbox next to **I agree that the above-mentioned date has been discussed with the employee and they consent on the last working day**.&#x20;
4. Select **Continue**.&#x20;
5. Select the checkbox to agree to add and approve expenses and pay supplements before the last working day.&#x20;

6. Select **Initiate offboarding**.&#x20;

Offboarding is initiated, and the contractor will be offboarded once Multiplier verifies all the details.&#x20;

<summary>Termination - When a contractor’s contract is to be terminated. </summary>

1. Select **Termination** and then select **Continue**.&#x20;

2. Select the reason for termination.&#x20;

3. Enter a note in the Mention the reason for termination field.&#x20;
4. Once done, select **Continue**.&#x20;
5. Select the last working day using the Desired Last Working Day dropdown.

6. (Optional) Upload any supporting documentation.&#x20;
7. Select **Continue**.&#x20;
8. Select the checkbox to agree to add and approve expenses and pay supplements before the last working day.&#x20;

9. Select Initiate **Offboarding**.&#x20;

Offboarding is initiated, and the contractor will be offboarded once Multiplier verifies all the details.&#x20;
