## Structured Contractor Offboarding: A More Transparent Transition

We have completely redesigned the Contractor (COR) Offboarding workflow. This update replaces manual coordination with a structured, automated process that ensures legal compliance, provides clear status tracking for admins, and creates a smoother transition for contractors.

### Key Enhancements

#### Guided Initiation Flow

* **Reason-Based Logic**: Admins can now initiate offboarding by selecting Resignation or Termination.
* **Document Management**: For terminations, uploading supporting documentation is now mandatory and integrated directly into the flow to ensure legal readiness from day one.
* **Flexible Last Working Day setting**: While admins can set current or future Last Working Days (LWD), our support teams can now assist with backdated exceptions via the Ops platform to keep your records accurate.
* **Automated Legal Review:** Once initiated, the system automatically triggers a ticket for our legal counsel team. They will liaise with you to finalize terms and upload final documents directly to the platform.
* **Clear Progress Stages**: Your dashboard will now reflect the true state of the contract, moving from Initiated to Offboarding (during the notice period) and finally to Ended automatically on the LWD.

#### **Redesigned Next Steps Interface**

* We’ve replaced the dynamic Next steps section with a clean, static list so you always know what to expect.
* Final Payout Visibility: A dedicated step now clearly outlines the Final Payout process, eliminating ambiguity about the contractor's last invoice.
* Contractor Notifications: Contractors are automatically notified via email once the last working date is confirmed, reducing manual follow-ups.

### How the Workflow Works

1. Initiate: Navigate to the contractor's profile and click Offboard COR Contractor. Select the reason and the proposed Last Working Day. [Learn more](https://help.usemultiplier.com/hr/cor/initiate-offboarding-of-a-cor-contractor).
2. Legal Review: Our team reviews the request and finalizes the offboarding documents.
3. Completion: Once terms are finalized, the status moves to "Complete." The contractor can continue to submit invoices through the platform up until their actual Last Working Day.
4. Auto-End: On the LWD, the contract status transitions to "Ended" automatically.
