### Enhanced Employee Benefits: Introducing Insurance Add-ons

Multiplier has revamped the benefits module. We now allow customers to offer, and members to purchase, specialized Add-ons alongside standard insurance plans. This update provides greater flexibility in tailoring coverage to meet the diverse needs of a global workforce.

#### Key Highlights

* For HR Teams: Customizable Benefit Packages
* During Onboarding: You can now view and select relevant insurance add-ons (such as dental, vision, or specialized riders) during the hiring flow for EOR employees, Contractors, and Global Payroll members.
* Manage Existing Policies: Easily modify existing benefit policies to include newly introduced add-ons. You’ll receive nudges within the platform when new options become available in specific countries.
* Resource Visibility: A new "Resources" page layout allows you to see all available add-ons by country and member type, clearly distinguishing between what is bundled in a plan and what requires an extra purchase.\ <br>
* For Members: Flexible Coverage Upgrades
* Self-Service Purchases: Members can now purchase add-ons or upgrade their plans directly through their profile.
* Complete Transparency: Members can view all add-ons attached to their contract, complete with factsheets, provider contact emails, registration links, and coverage dates.

#### How it works:

1. Onboarding: While hiring, navigate to the Benefits & Extras tab. You will now see an "Extended Benefits" section where you can add specific insurance riders.[ Learn more here](https://help.usemultiplier.com/hr/eor/eor-onboarding/onboard-an-eor-employee-on-multiplier).
2. Updating Policies: If you have an active policy, go to your Benefits settings to see the latest add-ons released by Multiplier and opt in with a few clicks.
3. Member Profile: Members can log in and visit their Insurance tab to see their current add-ons or browse available extras to enhance their coverage.

#### What’s Included in Add-ons?

Each add-on provides detailed information, including:

* Feature Breakdown: Specifics of what the add-on covers (e.g., Feature 1, 2, 3).
* Pricing: Transparent costs shown in USD for clients and local currency for members.
* Documentation: Direct access to factsheets and registration websites.

Note: In this phase, add-ons must be purchased in conjunction with an insurance plan and cannot be bought as standalone products.

### Reimagined Pay Supplements & Deductions: Single & Bulk Management

Managing variable pay just got a whole lot easier. We’ve overhauled the Pay Supplements and Deductions experience to give you better visibility, more control over recurring payments, and a streamlined bulk upload process aligned to your specific workforce.

#### A Smarter Dashboard for Pay Supplements

We’ve introduced a structured, tab-based view to help you track payments throughout the payroll lifecycle:

* Draft Tab: Manage variable components where amounts need finalization. Any items with a start date older than 6 months will now be automatically revoked to keep your dashboard clean.
* Queued Tab: View approved supplements waiting for the next payroll cutoff.
* Processing Tab: Track items currently being processed by our finance team once the cutoff has passed.
* Completed Tab: Access a full history of paid or revoked items.

What’s New?

* Custom Naming: You can now add an optional Custom Name (up to 20 characters) to any supplement for easier internal tracking.
* One-Time vs. Recurring: If you select "One-time," the system now automatically sets installments to 1 to prevent configuration errors.
* Audit History: A detailed history log is now available for every supplement, showing the payout structure and previous edits.

#### Enhanced Bulk Upload Experience

Our bulk import tools are now contextualized based on the type of employees you are paying:

* Tailored Templates: Choose between EOR Employees, Direct Employees, or Contractors to download a CSV/XLSX template specific to their requirements (e.g., Email vs. Employee ID).
* Real-time Validation: The system now identifies errors—like missing emails or negative amounts—during the upload process, allowing you to fix issues before submitting.
* Import History: A new section where you can view past imports, download success/failure reports, or resume a canceled upload.

#### Comprehensive Deductions Management

We’ve refined how deductions are categorized and handled to ensure tax compliance and better CTC (Cost to Company) reporting:

* Employer vs. Employee Deductions: Clearly distinguish between items that affect CTC (like asset or loan recoveries) and those that don’t (like third-party insurance).
* Tax Treatment Clarity: Deductions are now explicitly labeled as Pre-tax (reducing taxable income) or Post-tax (deducted from net pay).
* New Deduction Types: We’ve added standard types like Loan Deductions and Salary Advances across all EOR countries.

#### Expanded Component Library

To better support global teams, we have expanded our standard supplement types. You can now easily categorize payments as:

* Festive Bonuses (e.g., Diwali or Christmas)
* Leave Encashment & Notice Period Payouts
* Referral Bonuses & Arrears
