What is Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?
Two-factor authentication (2FA) is an additional layer of security that requires you to provide verification in two forms before gaining access to your account. 2FA involves entering your password and a verification code sent to your email.
Why is 2FA important?
2FA adds an extra layer of protection to your account. Should something go wrong and your password gets compromised, an unauthorized person would not be able to access your account due to the second factor (in this case, a verification code) to access your account.
How do I enable 2FA on my account?
2FA will be automatically enabled in your account. Every time you log out and log in to your account, you must enter the password and the verification code sent to your email.
What are the available methods for receiving verification codes?
You will receive the verification code on your email ID. Currently, we do not offer any alternate verification methods.
Is 2FA mandatory?
Yes, 2FA is mandatory to enhance/tighten the security of your account.
Do I need to enter a verification code every time I log in?
Yes, when 2FA is enabled, you must enter a verification code and password each time you log in. This ensures that only you can access your account.
What if I'm having trouble using 2FA?
If you're facing difficulties getting the verification code in your email, please contact your account manager or our support team at support@usemultiplier.com.
What will happen if I enter the verification code incorrectly 3 times?
If you enter the verification code incorrectly 3 times, you will be locked out for 15 minutes. However, if you want to log in immediately to the Multiplier platform, you can reset your password and log in again with the new password and verification code to enter the platform.
