  • What are carry-forward leaves?

Carry-forward leaves are unutilized leaves from a particular year that gets carried forward to the following year. If applicable, an employee can avail of these unutilized leaves in the next year within the stipulated time period.

  • Can all types of leaves be carried forward to the next year?

Not necessary. The labor laws of each country specify which type of leave can be carried forward to the next year. Generally, annual leaves can be carried forward to the next year. However, in some countries, sick leaves can be carried forward to the next year too.

  • Is it necessary to carry forward unused leaves to next year?

Not necessary. It will depend on the labor law of each country. For some countries, carrying forward leaves is not supported.

  • How can employees see their carry forwarded leaves on the Multiplier platform?

Currently, your employees can see the overall count of carry-forwarded leaves + allocated annual leave for this year as part of the total leave balance in their dashboard.

  • What if I want to carry forward the leaves of my employees from a specific country, even though that country's labor laws do not mandate doing so?

You can facilitate carry-forwarded leaves for your employees even when it is not mandatory. In such cases, kindly contact your account manager, and we will update the same for all the employees in that country.

  • How can I view the carry-forwarded leaves of my employee on the platform?

Currently, you will be able to see the overall count of carry-forwarded leaves + allocated annual leaves for your employee as part of the pro-rated leave count as shown in the below image.
