  • What are carry-forward leaves?

Carry-forward leaves are unutilized leaves from a particular year that gets carried forward to the following year. If applicable, an employee can avail of these unutilized leaves in the next year within the stipulated time period.

  • Can all types of leaves be carried forward to the next year?

Not necessary. The labor laws of each country specify which type of leave can be carried forward to the next year. Generally, annual leaves can be carried forward to the next year. However, in some countries, sick leaves can be carried forward to the next year too.

  • Is it necessary to carry forward unused leaves to the next year?

Not necessary. It will depend on the labor laws of each country. For some countries, carrying forward leaves is not supported.

  • How can I view my carry forwarded leaves in the Multiplier platform?

Currently, you will find the overall count of carried forward leaves + allocated annual leaves for the current year as part of your total leave balance.

In the above screenshot, the Total is the sum of carry-forwarded leaves from the previous year + allocated annual leaves for this year.
